Vantage Technology Consulting Group has been selected to assist NBBJ Architects with audiovisual and information technology design for the stunning New Redding Courthouse in Shasta County, California.
Located across the street from the existing 1950’s era facility, the new courthouse is designed to address and symbolize societal changes of the 21st Century by creating a welcoming and accessible civic landmark reflecting permanency, formal order, innovation and dignity. The 173,350 square foot project will vastly improve operational efficiency, access to justice and public service by providing a new 14-courtroom facility with state-of-the-art display, network and communications systems. Adult and juvenile court operations will now be consolidated into a single facility and two additional courtrooms will support new judgeships.
Vantage will be responsible for the building-wide IT infrastructure, courtroom audiovisual systems and DAS (Distributed Antenna System) design services to support emergency responders and interior cell phone reception.
Vantage will employ iBwave, a software program that models RF energy to determine ideal antenna locations in the building to support emergency responder radios as well as carrier cell phone signals.
To reduce cost and improve efficiency, Vantage’s design co-locates IT, AV, DAS, BMS, and security systems in one central technology room per floor.
