Cedars-Sinai Health System

Cedars-Sinai Health System is a nonprofit healthcare organization serving the Los Angeles community and serves more than 1 million people each year in over 40 locations.

In 2015, Cedars acquired 133-bed Marina del Rey Hospital and medical office building. Several project goals were established during the initial strategic and master planning effort to support the healthcare needs of the local community.

In the short term, Cedars will make facility improvements centered around building expansion, private bed conversion and site improvements. In a parallel effort, Cedars has kicked-off design and planning for a new replacement hospital to meet the long-term needs of the community in emergency and medicine services.

Vantage is participating in both short term and long-term projects at Marina del Rey. For the existing hospital, we have been involved in several make-ready projects, including establishing new network connections and helping design a new entrance. One major challenge is that the location is in a very tight space requiring significant design coordination for the infrastructure and external connections.

For the new hospital, we are working with Cedars-Sinai on developing a technology vision for the new hospital, helping design a new Energy Center and focusing on coordination with campus systems to ensure seamless integration with the new hospital systems.
