Jon Young

Vice President

As a recognized leader in Network Modernization and Research Computing at Vantage and the higher education industry, Jon Young has been promoted to Vice President.

As the self-proclaimed “Chief Troublemaker” at Vantage, he often asks questions that challenge and elevate standard ideas to create informed and improved network decisions. Clients attribute their success in projects to Jon’s constructive thinking and problem-solving. He’s guided clients in the value of competitive bidding in IT procurement, shared his insights on personal information security practices with Channel Q Morning Beat Radio, and was featured in a Huffington Post article, “Do We Really Need to Cover Up Our Laptop Camera Lenses for Privacy?”

Jon is an active member in EDUCAUSE, contributing to the Communications Infrastructure and Applications Community Group, which discusses the challenges that higher education institutions face with enterprise communication, collaboration, mobility, and networking. He is a member of Vantage’s DEI Committee advocating for making spaces more inclusive and was Co-Chair for the Vantage Mentor Program that builds community within the firm on both a professional and personal basis.

Alexis Fuller

Healthcare Strategic Consulting Director

Alexis Diamond Senior Consultant at Vantage Technology Consulting GroupRecognizing her leadership in healthcare technology planning and outstanding client relations, Alexis Fuller has been promoted to Healthcare Strategic Consulting Director.

She is one of the leaders in our Healthcare practice, with a focus on futurism and technology planning. Clients praise her knowledge in the future of healthcare technologies, how to design equitable and inclusive medical facilities, and successful management in stakeholder meetings. Her case studies include “Technologies Changing the Future of Patient Care” that takes a deep-dive into specific healthcare technologies, and how to plan for the next pandemic, “Project Heroe – Pandemic Healthcare Reimagined.”

She is a thought leader in the healthcare technology industry, contributing her insights as co-author of “The Hospital of the Future and Security: and Arranged Marriage”, a chapter in Florence Hudson’s new book, “Women Securing the Future with TIPPSS for Connected Healthcare (Trust, Identity, Privacy, Protection, Safety, Security).” She was a panelist at the IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things Conference, discussing the importance of optimized information flow, workflow, and processes that will result in improved patient care and safety.

Shannon Dunn

Senior Strategic Consultant

Shannon Dunn has been an integral part of our team and her active support and leadership in projects is recognized with a promotion to Senior Strategic Consultant.

She is an advocate for student and institutional success and helps institutions with academic technologies and strategic planning. She is a thought leader in the higher education industry, offering advice on how re-engaging with strategy to advance agility and maturity is critical in higher education IT.

She is an active member of EDUCAUSE and recently presented “You’ve Got Them, Now Keep Them: Transformational Leadership to Retain High Performers” online at the 2022 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference to help institutions grow and retain talented professionals. She was also selected as an Industry Expert Coach for EDUCAUSE’s Start-Up Alley participants, which showcases emerging Education Technology solutions from start-up companies.

Shannon is essential in coordinating our Leadership Lounge, which incorporates CIO mentors and aspiring higher education leaders in a co-mentoring model. She is the Co-Chair for the Vantage Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee, which educates team members and promotes DEI initiatives for the firm. She is celebrated as a leader of building an inclusive workplace and project team.

Valerie Vogel

Senior Strategic Consultant

Recognizing her dedicated support to our clients and contributions to the higher education information security community, Valerie Vogel has been promoted to Senior Strategic Consultant.

She guides institutions to create lasting programs through executive advisory services and information security awareness and education program development. Clients praise her organized project management skills, inclusive communication style, professional experience, and information security knowledge as key factors in the success of their projects. Valerie is also an active member of EDUCAUSE,  facilitated the panel discussion “What Will You Do Tomorrow? Career Path Ask Me Anything Session with Higher Ed IT Leaders” at the 2022 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, and has helped guide higher education professionals with career path success.

Valerie is dedicated to community building within higher education and Vantage. She was instrumental in establishing our Leadership Lounge, which incorporates CIO mentors and aspiring higher education leaders in a co-mentoring model. She is also stepping into the role of Co-Chair for the Vantage Mentor Program, which builds community within the firm on both a professional and personal basis.
