October 27th: EDUCAUSE Break Out Session
Vice President Cathy Bates and Associate Vice President Joanna Grama will join panelists Augie Freda, Data Steward at the University of Notre Dame and Rachel Serrano, Director of BI and Data Warehousing at UNC Chapel Hill at the EDUCAUSE Virtual Annual Conference. Their Simulive presentation, Spinach or Kryptonite? Leveraging Data Governance to Improve Analytics, will explore their data governance journeys, their pain points and celebrations, and how they have leveraged data governance practices to create a campus culture that embraces analytics.

– Associate Vice President Joanna Grama will be speaking with the California State University System Chief Information Security Officer Ed Hudson at the EDUCAUSE Virtual Annual Conference. Their on-demand presentation, Promoting Information Security Policy Piety, showcases how the CSU System deconstructed old information security policies, implemented a new policy framework, and adopted a life-cycle management approach to create information security policies that have system-wide devotees.
