Vantage team members will be speaking next week at the 2020 EDUCAUSE Security Professionals Conference. The premier event for higher education information security and privacy professionals, this year’s event will be held online due to the COVID-19 national health emergency.
Associate Vice President Joanna Grama will be speaking with Ohio State University Chief Information Security Officer Helen Patton on June 2, 2020. Their presentation, Confronting the Insider Threat in Higher Education, will help participants understand the pervasiveness of insider threats targeting higher education institutions. Joanna is also offering a braindate session on insider threat programs in higher ed.
Vice President Cathy Bates will be speaking on a panel on June 4, 2020. Panel members, all experienced higher education CISOs who joined the CIO ranks, will share why they took on the CIO role and what they learned about the CISO role while sitting in the CIO chair. Attendees will learn how mentorship and teaming have grown and extended the higher ed information security community. Cathy is also offering a braindate session that will be a Leadership Open House for any types of leadership questions.
