The Vantage Technology Consulting team always gets excited when one of our projects makes the leap from planning to steel-and-concrete reality. Just such a leap will take place in October of this year, when construction begins on the much-anticipated new patient tower to be built at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Santa Clarita, CA,

Preliminary construction has already begun on an expanded parking facility to support the project – a welcome sign of good things to come that has not gone unnoticed by the citizenry of this rapidly growing community in northern LA County. After all, it’s one thing for a town’s inhabitants to read about such projects in the local paper or hear about them from civic leaders – and another thing entirely when the construction cranes, cement trucks and work crews show up and start doing their thing.

For a much-anticipated project like this one, it’s enough to make the news – and it has!

The Santa Clarita Valley Signal newspaper recently posted a video report about the hospital moving forward with its plans.

And local radio station KHTS posted a report on their “Hometown Station” web site about preparing to build the six-story patient tower.

Vantage consultants continue to work tirelessly with officials at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital to implement the new patient tower’s comprehensive technology plan. When complete, the six-story structure will employ state-of-the-art communication infrastructure to support Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), next-generation Patient Entertainment and Information systems, pervasive tele-health systems and a medical-grade wireless network.
