Vantage Technology Consulting Group, long known for its IT, audiovisual and security systems design and consulting, has added Chad Shade as Director of Security Consulting. Chad’s qualifications and experience will provide Vantage clients with a full spectrum of security consulting expertise including the ability to conduct comprehensive threat assessments and to recommend mitigation measures including defensive planning, physical barriers, and effective security guard operations in addition to surveillance and access control.
Chad has an extensive background in law enforcement and corporate security having held previous positions as a Correctional Deputy, Police Officer, Asset Protection & Audit Manager, Protective Services Manager, Criminal Justice Instructor, and as a Regional Facility Security Manager. His strong leadership and management skills are evident in his work and allow him to guide successful teams and organizations. He is a passionate change agent, continually assessing risk and finding opportunities for efficiency.
Chad holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership Development from Chapman University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Management from Union Institute and University, and an Associate’s Degree from Rio Hondo College. He is also a trained Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO), a member of O.C. Shield/Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center, and a member of ASIS International.
He has experience and knowledge in the fields of corporate security, physical security, criminal investigations, corrections, patrol, retail loss prevention, emergency management, training, budget management, internal controls/audit, and incident response.
Some of his projects include threat assessments and security upgrades for Bank of America Brea Center-Critical Facility, the private wealth management office for US Trust, wealth management offices for Merrill Lynch, and over 50 financial centers for Bank of America.
