Vantage Technology Consulting Group is excited to announce that Susan Featherston has rejoined our firm as a Strategic Consultant.

She has more than 20 years of experience in non-profits, higher education, federal government (CDC), and academic research with a strong focus on analytics.  She brings a deep understanding of strategic operations within higher education, focusing on analytics, data governance, change management, organizational strategy, service and process improvement, and executive communications.

Most recently, she managed Department of Labor IT registered apprenticeship programs in cybersecurity, devops, and software development for a Denver workforce development non-profit, ActivateWork. She is a recipient of the 2022 Colorado Apprenticeship Award, recognizing her strong program leadership at ActivateWork, and was one of the select few to attend the White House’s 2022 National Apprenticeship Week event.

Susan held leadership roles at Colorado School of Mines and Emory University and led teams implementing IT strategic plan initiatives and created analytic dashboards and processes to support the institution. She holds a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi.

Susan will contribute to our firm’s higher education thought leadership in:

  • Strategic planning
  • Data governance and analytics
  • Information security program assessment
