Rory Mulcahey

Engineer

Chess Expert | Poker Enthusiast | Life-Long Learner

Rory has a background in Revit and other computer aided design software and comes with knowledge in engineering and architectural drawings. As a previous high school technology teacher, Rory has a deep understanding of Solidworks and Revit through teaching courses on integrating engineering principles with different design programs. His dedication to finding pragmatic solutions coupled with his ability to quickly learn new technology standards makes him a valuable part of our production team.

During his studies, Rory was the Lead Designer on the CSU Fullerton Titan Rover Robotics Team. By optimizing an in-hub design using Solidworks finite element analysis, he was able to reduce the cost, and weight of the suspension system while improving the functionality of the rover. This passion for building and creating has led him to mentor for the FIRST Robotics Competition. This competition tasks high school students to build and program robots to perform specified tasks against other teams. As a lead mentor, Rory oversees the development of the machine, budgets, and final design.

In his free time, Rory enjoys coaching the local high school soccer team and has been a soccer referee for the past seven years.

Rory holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University Fullerton.
