The University of California – Santa Barbara (UCSB) was in the process of migrating a home-grown mainframe based ERP/SIS to a homegrown .Net based ERP/SIS. As part of that process, UCSB engaged Vantage to assess the IT organizational structure, network, and the systems infrastructure and security posture to best support the transition project and future operations. Vantage worked with the IT leadership and staff to document the existing and planned state of the network, systems and virtual environments. Vantage then led the team through a series of interactive design meetings to actively and openly engage the team in network, information security, workflow and systems design to identify and build consensus around a new architecture suited to the project goals and objectives.
Vantage also worked with the leadership and staff to set out organizational changes that will realign resources and position the group for success through the transition and in the future operations.
