Project Description:

The Moravian Academy is a private K-12 educational institution with two campuses in Bethlehem, PA.  Moravian Academy traces its origins to the Moravians who settled Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1741. The Academy descends from the first school for girls founded in the American colonies in 1742 and is the ninth oldest independent school in the United States.  Today, the primary role of Moravian Academy is to promote the child’s full development in mind, body, and spirit.  Since 1742 the school has encouraged sound innovations to meet contemporary challenges while recognizing the permanence of basic human values.

The communications infrastructure at the Academy was no longer able to meet the increasing education demands so the Academy retained Vantage to assess the Academy’s requirements and design cost effective solutions to meet the changing needs.  In order to support the desired unified communications requirements, the Academy needed to upgrade the underlying data network as well as the out-of-date voice communications systems.  Vantage handled all aspects of system requirements, design, bidding, selection, contract negotiations, and implementation oversight.  The result was to build on the Academy’s investment in inside and outside copper and fiber infrastructure with new systems that support the Academy’s mission.
