Architect:  Steinberg Architects

Project Description:

Vantage Technology Consulting Group provided telecommunications and audiovisual consulting services for the Science Complex, a new 74,000 square foot, three-story building  on the Los Angeles Harbor College campus.

Vantage worked with Steinberg Architects to create the campus standards and technology criteria, which defined the role of technology within this new LEED Platinum building. This also included guidelines for the integration of information technology, data networks and audiovisual systems for the new building.

Vantage also performed third-party peer review services through each stage of the building design process and performed final project commissioning for the technology systems to ensure the final building delivered complied with the campus standards. Programs addressed in this building include marine science, astronomy, physics, anatomy, biology, psychology, geology and other sciences.  Laboratories are housed in one wing of the building and classrooms, lecture halls and administrative offices in the other.  Outdoor classroom space and a science court encourage idea exchange.
