Building a New Academic Facility for the School of Communications Based on the Convergence of
Technologies

The new World News Center (WNC) will be the focal point of the School. The facility is envisioned as a model for the integration of the historically separate print, broadcast, and electronic (e.g., Web) media, and as a working newsroom environment that will enable students and others to advance their understanding of the evolving role of electronic technology in journalism and media delivery.
