Developing an Integrated Campus-Wide Communications Network for a Research and Biotech Lab Facility

The Nobel Research Center in San Diego, California, is one of Biogen Idec’s main West Coast research facilities. This campus of lab and office space includes Conference, Training and Executive Office spaces with integrated Audiovisual equipment.

The integrated presentation systems are used for internal meetings and vendor conferences while the videoconference systems allow communication with other sites, such as Biogen Idec’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Vantage Technology Consulting Group worked with Biogen Idec and the project design team on both the Nobel and NIMO projects to complete the Audiovisual designs. Vantage developed a standardized design for the Audiovisual room and system types at these sites, allowing employees to move between sites while using similar equipment and interfaces at the different locations.
